Job Description
The Systems Management team is part of Client Computing within Workplace Technology Solutions (WTS). It is responsible for engineering, managing, supporting and providing improvements to all aspects of software distribution, software packaging, software and hardware inventory, and endpoint compliance.
 
Major focus of this team is to provide mechanisms that ensure that the correct software and prescribed configurations are in place and are able to be validated and remediated and the software can be delivered in an unattended and non-user impacting manner . The scope of this job will be to work as SCCM administrators focused on the SCCM client support and maintenance, APAD/SCCM deployment troubleshooting, Microsoft Software Update functionality, and SCCM server infrastructure health and support.

This position will require a good understanding of the Microsoft Windows workstation operating systems (version 7 and version 10). Windows Server (2012 / 2016) knowledge is preferred – specifically operation of IIS and the OS. Other skills that are desirable are Powershell scripting, WMI, SQL knowledge, and registry familiarity.

Job Duties

 Administration and configuration of SCCM Enterprise environment.
• Knowledgeable in desktop virtualization and thin client technologies.
• Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise desktop technologies.
• Knowledge of the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems.
• Deployment, installation and administration of Microsoft Office products.
• Investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to reoccurrences.
• Relies on a working knowledge of standard (Windows) client platform administration, configuration, rights management and file access in order to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other IT groups.
• Able to effectively communicate and provide feedback.
• Performs-other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

General Experience:
2 years of experience in administrative, technical work which demonstrated the ability and aptitudes, required to perform technical or analytical work and coordination involving management information systems.

Specific Experience Desired:
• Experience in SCCM administration, patching and maintenance.
• Experience implementing security patches and policies for applications and operating systems

• Experience utilizing automated technologies for the deployment of desktop systems.
• Intermediate knowledge including trouble shooting skills on  Windows client operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows 10
• Intermediate knowledge including trouble shooting skills on Windows server operating systems such as Windows server 2012 and server 2016
 
Certifications:
• System Center Configuration Manager (any version)
• Any Windows 7 / 10 OS certifications.
• Any Windows Server OS certifications.

(Any technical certifications or ITIL methodology certifications are a plus.)
