Job Description & Expectations

Senior WebSphere Administrator

• Seasoned WAS Admin with 8+ years of experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Strong knowledge of WebSphere 7 and 8 to include installation, configuration, administration, deployment, troubleshooting 
• Extensive knowledge with server tuning and clustering, 
• The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to schedule constraints, the ability to work well in a team environment and excellent communication and time management skills. 
• The WebSphere administrator will document, research, identify and attempt to solve all technical and application related problems on initial call. Document and track support activity and clearly communicate technical solutions in a user friendly professional manner. 

• Sun Solaris 9/10 and Linux 6.x/7.x
• Shell scripts 
• Clustering/Replication 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to schedule constraints 
• Ability to work well in a team environment 
• Excellent communication and time management skills 

• Available for production support, troubleshooting, release deployments.
• Available for support 24x7 
• In addition to above, the candidate should have experience with at least two of the following skill sets: 
• Virtual Enterprise 
• WebSphere/LDAP/TAM/AD/SDS 
• WebSphere/ORACLE 
• WebSphere end-to-end Troubleshooting


J2EE Developer


- 7+ years total experience in development of Java/JEE solutions in a Websphere environment

- Hibernate, Spring/Struts 2, JPA, JMS, AJAX, JSP, Java Scripting, JSON, JQuery, Dojo

- Strong experience in application design (UML), design patterns and performance tuning.

- Strong SQL knowledge using Oracle and MS SQL Server

- Experienced with IBM Websphere 6.x or above (RAD / Eclipse) management and configuration.

- Strong web service integration skills (SOAP, WSDL)

- Strong communications skills.

- Be productive in a fast-paced environment and work well with a diverse team of technical SMEs

- Successful history of web projects delivered.

- Ability to clearly write technical specifications.
