Allstate Investments manages close to $80 Billion of assets across portfolios for three major clients for Allstate to meet their investment objectives. Job Description

Job Scope

Data Integration within Allstate Investments involves architecting and maintaining solutions for data movement and assimilation between disparate sources and targets. It incorporates techniques from many disciplines, including data management, computer programming, server and infrastructure knowledge, software development and traditional business expertise. Within the Data Integration layer, Allstate Investments leverages a suite of products from Eagle Investment Systems, including Eagle PACE for the Investments Data Hub, and Eagle Recon Center to perform daily reconciliation between sources and targets. This position is to fill a developer/support role on the Eagle PACE/Recon Center/TIBCO team, working to develop new and maintain existing data flows. We will train individuals on both the TIBCO and Eagle applications.

Job Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with multiple teams/organizations spanning the Investments Technology/Business/Outside Vendors.
  • Complete programming assignments for data integration projects that support the goals of the Investment Department.
  • Support and monitor Eagle PACE/Eagle Recon Center/TIBCO applications.
  • Work closely with internal teams, along with own teams

     

    Skills Required:

  • Use a wide variety of tools and languages to achieve results (e.g., T-SQL and PL/SQL a plus).
  • Ability to work independently, inquisitive nature, and ownership mentality.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on multiple tasks independently and as part of a project team.
  • Able to break down business problems into solvable components to recommend solutions.

Experience:

  • 0 - 2 years in technology related fields (open to new graduates with a technical degrees).

     

Education/Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Coursework/competency in at least one development language (Python, .NET, Java, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Integration tools (ETL, TIBCO BW, Oracle, SQL) a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytic agility and problem-solving skills, along with having solid written/oral commuication skills.
