Job Description


The Digital Marketing team drives the strategy and execution of multi-million-dollar digital marketing programs to deliver profitable growth for the enterprise. Programs include paid search, affiliate marketing, lead aggregators and directory marketing. The team is also responsible for garnering insights via test & learn.  


Paid Search & Affiliate Marketing is a group within the Digital Marketing team of MARA and has responsibility for managing and optimizing search engine, lead aggregator, Gmail and affiliate paid media.


Job Summary


The Senior Consultant, Digital Marketing will support the digital marketing team as they plan and execute campaigns to drive profitable growth and improve retention for the Enterprise.  The scope of tactics includes paid search, Gmail, affiliate and lead aggregators.

Key Responsibilities

Manage internal and external communication around paid search and/or affiliate media strategy for assigned LOBs

• Work closely with agency partners to optimize media plans as necessary to achieve program objectives

• Keep all internal stakeholders (Consumer Marketing, Display, Social, Digital Analytics, Program Measurement) updated on any changes to program tactics that may affect other programs

• Manage budget by partner and provide monthly update to Manager/Senior Manager

• Assist team with all executional aspects of the campaign management processes – campaign development; tactic/tagging; delivery management (pacing, budget, spend)

• Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of assigned LOBs

• Drive strategic recommendations/planning for assigned LOBs

• Support the A. Manager/Sr. Manager in defining audience and data strategies as well as tactics to maximize business impact with an eye toward fiscal responsibility

• Understand which media tactics most effectively achieve various potential program KPIs

• Work closely with Consumer Marketing and Measurement teams to achieve KPIs

• Communicate how decisions made by other teams may impact media effectiveness

• Act as point of contact with agency and media partners to troubleshoot campaign delivery or measurement issues

• Alert Manager/Senior Manager to any issues related to campaign performance, delivery or billing

• Establish a solid working relationship with program stakeholders inside and outside of MARA, specifically Consumer Marketing


Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required, marketing concentration preferred

• Minimum of 4 years of previous work experience in digital media, Paid Search or Affiliate a plus

• Aptitude to build and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships

• Ability to provide insightful feedback on questions related to technology, data and optimization

• Capability to explain complicated processes in basic terms

• Ability to analyze, interpret and take meaningful action on large amounts of data

• Capacity to organize and manage detail work

• Excellent Excel skills, including understanding of advanced formulas and functions
