Job Description

This position will be on the Med Bill Team.  All medical bills for Allstate, Deerbrook, and Encompass are imaged by a third-party vendor for electronic handling by Allstate claim adjusters.  Sometimes a bill or document can't be processed through this electronic stream for a number of reasons (missing claim number, incomplete provider info, etc.) so it is the job function of the Med Bill team to research these exception items and either fill in the missing information to complete the process of attaching the document into Mitchell Decision Point or route the documents to the appropriate party for processing (claim adjuster, different business unit, medical provider, etc.).  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review electronic medical documents
  • Attempt to locate a corresponding claim number
  • Attach to the Mitchell Decision Point application to have bill handled at the adjuster level

  • Data Entry skills
  • 10 Key – Plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of Next Gen, Legacy (Mainframe), Mitchell Decision Point and other Claims Services applications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Able to give and accept feedback in a professional manner
  • Flexibility to work overtime if needed
  • Excellent production and quality results
