Job Description

 

 

HR Compliance is a centralized HR group in home office that ensures the Company is compliant with state and federal employment laws.  The team collaborates and consults with various HR COEs to implement processes that support compliance.  The team is also responsible for managing the Workplace Assistance process, the HR Policy Guide as well as other internal compliance requirements.

 

Job Summary

The HR Sr.Compliance Consultant performs complicated assignments to ensure compliance with state, federal and HR policies and procedures.  In addition to building relationships with applicable COEs (HR, Legal, Enterprise Business Conduct, etc.), this position requires an extensive understanding of employment laws and internal guidelines and policies.  The individual actively researches all state and federal laws related to the employee/employer relationship and manages processes to ensure the Company is compliant.  The individual takes initiative in identifying opportunities for individual, team and department improvement.  The individual works independently, prioritizing the individual’s own responsibilities, and managing the individual’s own workload.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages Workplace Assistance processes for the company
    • Develops and executes communications for the company regarding process
    • Handles ADA situations that go beyond ergonomic needs and are of moderate complexity
    • Gathers facts and consults employees and managers on situations as well as the overall process
    • Researches accommodation options/resources for employees
    • Continuously attends training/workshops to ensure understanding of current guidelines and regulations
    • Reports quarterly on workplace assistance
  • Serves as the process owner and managers Conflict of Interest questions/issues
    • Reviews conflict of interest situations and can identify which applicable COEs (Legal, EBC, etc.) to include as needed
    • Gathers facts and provides responses to employees
    • Logs all questions/situations in the Case Management Tool
    • Provides trend information to HR Senior Leaders and Enterprise Business Conduct teams as needed
  • Manages the Equal Pay Audit Process
    • Downloads data, runs statistical reports
    • Partners with legal to analyze company data
    • Works with LHR to validate any pay disparities and/or recommend adjustments
  • Manages the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) process for HR
    • Works with Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
    • Partners with the HR COEs to ensure compliance with their SOX controls
    • Maintains SOX tool, triggers controls, documents any issues as necessary
    • Provides training to COEs as needed

Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3 – 5 years HR experience
  • Professional with strong organizational, communication and administrative skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite of business software preferred as well as company’s internal Case Management Tool
  • Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and organize
  • Ability to think conceptually, analytically and creatively
  • Advanced oral and business writing skills
  • Ability to analyze data and apply it to problem resolution
  • Ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners
