Job Description

The Agency Operations Communication Solutions team is the strategic and execution arm for agency owner communication. The team provides strategic communication counsel, planning and execution support for Agency Sales and enterprise-wide business initiatives and programs that impact agency owners as small business owners.

 

An Agency Communication Consultant I is primarily accountable for coordinating project and program execution of the agency owner and licensed sales producer communication strategy for the enterprise. This work includes but is not limited to communication counsel, planning and execution, Agency Sales business partner services, agency owner relationships, and sales conference content delivery to improve agency owner engagement. A primary role includes developing quality, error-free, strategically targeted communications to benefit agency owners with some oversight.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • With some direction, participates and contributes on projects that are moderate complexity and scope using accepted project management standards
  • Completes project tasks as assigned
  • Tracks own plan performance and project plan or timeline
  • Communicates and presents project status
  •  Partners with teams and team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
  • Compiles statistical data as it relates to programs, projects and  processes
  • Solicits opinions from appropriate parties
  • Actively manages all expenses related to the position

 

Program & Process Design / Improvement

  • With direction, supports the development/design of new plans, programs, and processes up to moderate complexity
  • Understands internal and external compliance requirements/standards
  • Participates in the integration and delivery of planned changes/ projects/ processes to regions/field

 

Program & Process Communications

  • Notifies individuals of and monitors the cutoff/due dates for the completion and submission of materials  
  • Edits and proofreads materials for accuracy in content as well as spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Composes standard correspondences (routine memos and letters)
  • Writes, updates brochures, booklets, manuals, instructions or bulletins
  • Attends meetings to provide routine information (employee information, department reviews)
  • Presents pre-developed material as needed
  • Answers routine inquiries
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Position located in Northbrook, IL or Charlotte, NC.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Communication, English, or Journalism degree preferred
  • 1-2 years experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and intermediate project management skills required
