Business Intelligence is responsible for developing and implementing Encompass business intelligence solutions to enable data-based decision making.  They promote the value and potential of BI within Encompass.

The Technical Analyst is responsible for delivering business intelligence solutions to enable data-based decision making.  Provide technical analysis, design, and build services while developing a broader & deeper understanding of business operations.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate requirements and advise on technology solution options
  • Provide research, analysis, high-level design and estimates for data transformation and movement from sources to end-user BI solutions.
  • Leverage knowledge of transactional applications to reporting & analytics data stores to model, extract, transform, and load data.
  • Build and modify database tables and semantic layers.
  • Assist in navigation of release mgmt schedule and other enterprise processes to improve speed to market.
  • Review code with Developers and recommend improvements.
  • Liaison between IT and the business translating business requirements to technical resources and translating technical documentation into terminology & language understood by the business.
  • Support Data Governance Processes through Metadata documentation and data quality investigations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues with systems and reporting tools.
  • Advise Developers & Business Analysts on ad hoc queries.
  • Consult during BI tools reviews & provide recommendations.
  • Support in technical conversations with our technology partners outside of team.
  • Train Business Analysts & Developers on technical aspects of BI. 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis or technology related field.
  • Strong customer service orientation that places high value on customer satisfaction.
  • Advanced Business Intelligence Tool skills.
  • Advanced ETL skills with tools such as Informatica.
  • Advanced with SQL and understanding of multi-dimensional and relational database data organization concepts.
  • Develop & demonstrate increasingly broad business knowledge and organizational awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Versatile and willing & able to play a variety of roles beyond Title.
