Job Description

The PSID Innovation and Target Markets team generates value, deepens customer relationships and establishes a competitive advantage for Allstate through differentiation of new products / services in the digital market that address unmet or emerging consumer needs. The team is responsible for building, testing and managing a pipeline of digital innovation opportunities that address consumer insights / needs and provide solutions that help make their lives easier. The team is involved in all aspects for digital offerings including research, design, build, test and go-to-market launch execution with emphasis on operational run the business activities.

 

This Management position leads a team of professionals with regard to the operations of the digital innovations and cross-functional support areas as we shift from a product to a life stage focus of products and services.  The position will own all aspects of the customer support functions and integration with other support areas on a day to day basis. The role operates in a matrixed, fast-paced and demanding environment, This role operates in an undefined, ambiguous, ever evolving space and must be able to drive work forward with minimal oversight.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a staff which manages all aspects of operations services delivery
  • Manage internal and external resources to insure levels of support and issue resolution on time and in budget 
  • Manage budget(s) and play a role throughout the budgetary process for the group being managed
  • Manage results to established goals
  • Manage vendor relationship(s)
  • Act as a change agent with the ability to influence strategic direction
  • Keep pace with industry trends, tools and technologies
  • Create and implement process changes designed to increase performance and/or efficiency
  • Analyze operational and key performance indicators in order to develop sound and actionable recommendations for the product features or program processes
  • Partner with internal and field stakeholders to maximize operations support and results
  • At times, act as an Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide consultation across multiple AORs
  • Advocate on behalf of the customer at every stage of the development and implementation process
  • Manages all aspects of daily activities including processes, methods, budgets and personnel
  • Oversees team and day to day operations of projects of critical importance
  • Develops plans that have long term impact to the organization
  • Leads most aspects of taking incremental updates to the product and insuring training, communications and appropriate AORs understand what is being implemented.
  • Recognizes gaps in processes and recommends holistic solutions; continuous process improvement
  • Develops and presents internal and external communications and executive presentations to ensure socialization, alignment, and a high level of cross-functional integration in a rapidly evolving, test and learn environment 
  • Support the creation and delivery of field / agent education and review communication materials for digital initiatives
  • Work closely with and serve as point of contact for internal partners and stakeholders, including but not limited to User Experience (UX), Regional Marketing, Legal, Agency Sales, Marketing Analytics and Research Administration (MARA), eBusiness, Marketing Alliances and Customer Experience.
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate key initiative measures; recommend and influence changes / enhancements based on results
  • Provide input into strategic roadmap with respect to operational needs in order to move identified product / service from test phase, to future releases / enhancements.

Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Innovation, Product, Marketing, or related experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven history of owning results
  • Must be able to guide the work of cross functional teams
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in product/service development and launch
  • Exposure to Allstate field structure preferred
  • Able to support the synthesis of consumer insights and impact development and launch
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with senior leaders
  • Advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong strategic and analytic skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate presentation development and delivery skills
  • Experience with a deadline driven environment, requiring minimum supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, with extreme attention to detail
  • CyberSecurity knowledge a plus
