Job Description


We’re looking for an Allstate Technology and Strategic Ventures (ATSV) Compliance – Senior Consultant I who can apply his or her knowledge of business and technology risks through effective compliance and governance strategies designed to protect Allstate assets and customer and employee data.
The Team
The ATSV Risk Management and Compliance team works across ATSV to provide critical information that drives compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other Regulatory requirements. We recommend innovative solutions that guide strategies and improve compliance results. Our work includes timely reporting, critical analysis, issue management and project management as we interface with leaders across ATSV.
 

Responsibilities:

 

The selected candidate for this role will:
• Lead technology and business impact and/or risk assessment analysis (examples include security, platforms, network, databases, software development lifecycle, security issues, and compliance with regulations) and assist with recommendations and/or mitigation and resolution strategies to management
• Review very complex changes in company processes, standards, and technology to ensure the effectiveness of IT control strategies
• Lead complex analysis necessary to isolate, describe and resolve both real and potential threats that can affect Allstate's technology control environment
• Lead efforts to analyze technology and business impact and exposure based on emerging issues and risks
• Develops analytic and visual presentation strategies to ensure the IT control environment is conveyed in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels.
• Establish and provide compliance awareness and technical support to management and staff regarding IT compliance management strategies and programs
• Works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  Makes decisions that have an impact on quality or effectiveness of business activities beyond their immediate team
• Interface with multiple areas on a daily basis to review stated compliance processes
• Provide feedback on the controls in place within ATSV
• Perform assessments of controls
• Work directly with ATSV areas when gaps in controls exist
• Develop recommendations and/or mitigation strategies to management
• Develop and implement systems control procedures, programs and plans for key areas of the company

Job Qualifications

 

• 3+ years of related technology experience

• Understanding of technology controls a plus

• CISA or CRISC a plus
• Builds relationships with client-base while offering analysis and corrective actions based on emerging trends.
• Organizational and time management - manages through ambiguity, prioritizes multiple projects to meet business partner needs.
• Detail Oriented

  • Prior experience with Agile (Scrum and XP) methodologies and tools a plus
