Job Summary

The Business Process Sr Consultant II is responsible for aiding in or leading the development and implementation of moderate to complex consulting projects within the Accounting Services Reconciliations channel environment. Represents the business area in strategic planning activities and provides recommendations based on best practice benchmarking, data analysis and forecasting. Consults with internal/external business partners to identify future needs or changes to large scale or complex end-to-end processes. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates understanding of business unit and/or industry systems, processes and requirements.
  • Gathers and analyzes business and requirements. Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures.
  • Ensures successful completion of projects.
  • Initiates and supports business optimization efforts to enable effective and efficient delivery of valued services.
  • May train peers and colleagues.
  • Provides Records Information Management (RIM) oversight and expertise.

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience related to Allstate Life & Retirement suspense account reconciliations and/or bank account reconciliations is preferred.
  • College Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in SAP and One Recon is preferred
  • Insurance industry knowledge or consulting certifications (i.e. BPM, Six Sigma, ASQ) a plus.
  • Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully facilitate meetings and processes where the subject is moderately complex.
  • Demonstrates the basic skills of an internal consultant, both in terms of client relationships as well as staff interaction.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, reproduce, and resolve simple problems in area of specialty, including business, process and technical problems.
  • Mastery of communications in practical applications of a difficult nature with the ability to express ideas concisely and in an easily understood manner.
  • Ability to make decisions under time pressures and with limited information.
