The Team 

The Arity Product Management team is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing products in Arity’s growing product portfolio. Product Managers are responsible for delivering value to customers by understanding core needs and opportunities through data driven analyses. Product managers work collaboratively with their development teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver and manage their respective products.


The Role


As a Product Manager for Smart City solutions, you will join an ambitious team that is seeking ways to understand the increasingly dynamic nature of mobility and the challenges that cities, regional transportation authorities, government agencies and citizenry face in an era of disruption across traditional transportation systems. You will have a charter to identify and define customer pain points, ultimately being responsible for delivering the data and services that help your target customers and Arity achieve success. This includes gaining empathy for your customers and their needs, managing the strategic product vision, and executing on your product strategy. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Create, drive and execute product strategy for the Smart City solution area.
  • Engage in hypothesis generation and discovery/test & learn activities to learn more about your customers, validate assumptions, and determine product investments.
  • Use metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform overall product strategy.
  • Manage a product backlog, create effective user stories and provide timely stakeholder updates on development iterations.
  • Ensure the successful execution of agile rituals to support highly iterative development and learning loops.
  • Contribute to our learning culture by coaching and/or mentoring members of the cross-functional organization.
  • Partner with Product Marketing Managers to develop and execute internal & external communications related to your product and/or portfolio.


Job Qualifications


  • 1-3 years relevant product management experience
  • 5-10 years relevant new product, service or technology development experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear passion for the challenges in the mobility, urban planning and/or smart city space and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate in the given space
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to tackle big, undefined problems and to pursue new, sometimes undefined markets
  • Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems & to address with innovative solutions
  • Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of and experience working in a KPI-driven environment using Agile/lean development methods
  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in business, economics, urban planning, transportation planning or computer science, with related work experience, preferably developing modern data or software platforms
