Job Description

The Online Service team within the Digital and User Experience organization is responsible for delivering a quality online experience for both current and prospective customers. The team provides strategic and creative support, development and execution of programs that drive direct business results, and support of customer retention in a multi-channel environment.

 

The purpose of this Product Owner (PO) role is to lead the initiatives that create a dynamic, personalized experience for our consumers within the Allstate.com self-service application (My Account). This Product Owner will closely partner with other POs and both business and technology partners to create and maintain a digital experience within My Account which exceeds customer expectations and meets the team’s and enterprise’s business goals, all within an agile SCRUM environment.

 

This role will be filled by a highly-engaged individual with experience handling a wide-range of projects and relationships, with at least 3 years of proven Web experience from a business point of view.  While working closely with various partners, this individual will be the primary facilitator/creator of the personalized consumer experience. Leveraging Oracle’s RTD software, and working within the enterprise personalization ecosystem, this individual will define and manage the hierarchy of business rules behind the dynamic elements of our online service application, including continuous monitoring and optimization.

 

o Possess a deep understanding of team and enterprise objectives/tactics in order to improve customer experience and support customer retention, especially as it applies to the dynamic, personalized experience
o Create and maintain business rules within our rules engine which will generate the dynamic experience
o Manage the assets (content and images) needed for the presentation of dynamic offers and messaging
o Understand and assist in the definition and maintenance of the data attributes and the data model/schema needed to feed the rules engine, at both the local and enterprise level
o Partner with our technology organization to leverage the full value of our rules engine
o Partner broadly with numerous stakeholders (including our other POs, service partners, the UX team, etc…) to understand their business needs/objectives, and then integrate and/or promote these effectively within the My Account experience
o Liaison with the broader enterprise personalization initiatives to drive consistent cross channel experiences
o Track and measure the effectiveness of the various dynamic elements, optimizing continuously
o Define and communicate effectively the vision and guiding principles for the personalized experience
o Ensure quality of each experience update with appropriate testing and deployment support
o Continuously champion and expand the personalized, customer online experience

Job Qualifications


o 3+ years Web experience from business point of view, preferably with transaction-focused applications
o Broad understanding of insurance products and their related value-added services is preferred
o Experience with a rules engine (such as Oracle RTD) highly desired
o Experience working in cross functional teams. Working in an agile environment a plus
o Track record of website optimization and solutions that positively impact consumer experience
o Ability to quickly assimilate technical and business information into clearly defined deliverables
o Ability to organize an extensive and broad body of diverse needs/wants into a fair and holistic approach strategy
o Highly effective in problem-solving and creative solutioning
o Advanced quantitative analysis skills
o Strong team player with excellent organization, communication and coordination skills
o Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative business environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously
o Rich proficiency in MS Office
o B.A. in Business, Marketing, Communication, UX or other related field required
