Job Description


The Digital Analytics team provides site analytics support to a myriad of digital marketing programs including but not limited to, Online Sales & Service, Social Media, Mobile, Online Advertising, Search Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Integrated Marketing Communication programs. The team’s goal is to make these programs more efficient and effective by turning digital and offline data into actionable insights through the use of web analytics, voice of the customer data, tag management, offline data integration and other analytics tools.

The Digital Analytics Senior Consultant is responsible for using marketing and digital analytics to design, implement, and maintain measurements and reports that will improve Allstate’s understanding of the contribution of our marketing programs and consumer behavior. They will also provide actionable data and insights that enable Allstate to make better decisions that drive desired consumer behaviors, improve the online digital experience, and optimize spend. The Senior Consultant will be a key contributor in determining strategic decisions and direction of the digital analytics site team. This role will lead and support web analytics governance efforts across the organization and assess and determine priorities within area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain and enhance a robust digital analytics capability to support key Allstate Brand Distribution digital programs (Personalized Onboarding Experience, Relationship Platform, eProposal, eAgent, and Agency Gateway)
  • Gather measurement requirements
  • Work with technology and/or 3rd party vendor to come up with optimal implementation
  • UAT test to ensure measurement requirements are met
  • Pre- and post-release analysis
  • Coordinate any existing report enhancements or new scheduled reports with technology
  • Create dashboards and reports as needed
  • Assist business users with interpreting results and pulling reports
  • Develops advanced data analysis and insight of consumer with a strong focus on segmentation
  • Participates on projects of critical importance; may own pieces of critical project from start to finish
  • Exhibit a high level of expertise working with multiple data sources/reports (site metrics, campaign/channel reports, traffic and conversion reports) to analyze performance of campaigns and marketing efforts and make recommendations for improvements
  • Create, review, and submit monthly and quarterly summaries of traffic and marketing channel performance. 
  • Proactively review weekly reports to look for data anomalies and perform further analysis if needed
  • Maintain and enhance partnerships with digital analytics teams in other parts of the organization focusing on data integrity, governance/standards, best practices, etc.
  • Support all facets of the decision-making platform (click-stream, search analysis, MVT analysis, etc.) and work with web technology teams to identify gaps in data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements
  • Consult with outside vendors supporting various marketing programs to ensure they have access to the metrics they need to successfully evaluate their programs
  • Drive strategic initiatives for the team (e.g. establishing relationships/processes with new areas of marketing, evaluation/onboarding of additional tools to enhance team capability, owning vendor relationships, etc.)
  • Responsible for providing clear feedback and direction on the measurement and analysis strategy of each site / application responsible for
  • Proactively look for ways to automate as much as possible
  • Uses subject matter expertise to coach less experienced employees to anticipate and prevent potential problems




Job Qualifications


  • BA or BS (quantitative coursework like mathematics, statistics a plus, but not necessarily required)
  • An analytical mind and avid curiosity
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, disseminate significant amounts of information, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Web Analytics core competencies
  • Consistently demonstrates advanced knowledge of web analytics terminology, data, and platforms
  • Advanced experience implementing and using Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload
  • Strong people skills
  • Advanced with Excel; proficient with other MS Office products
  • Experience in measuring the success of SEM/PPC, SEO and Digital Campaigns a plus
  • Experience in measuring social media and mobile efforts a plus
  • Ability to give effective and clear presentations
  • Business analysis experience in large companies with multiple functions/divisions helpful
