Job Description

The Regional Billing and Account Services department provides support and services for employer groups, brokers and regional offices for processes related to billing, payments, and account management.


The Senior Associate will research, analyze, resolve and respond to inquiries; provide support in the development and maintenance of business processes for customers to achieve desired business results.  Respond to escalated customer requests regarding premiums and refunds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolving policy discrepancies; preparing and communicating reconciliation reports to employers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers, brokers and regional offices, with a focus on employer groups $100,000 - $250,000
  • Provide support for team members when needed
  • Research, analyze and respond to customer requests, both verbal and written, including reallocation of premiums and refund checks
  • Managing suspense account entries using established standards
  • Provide suggestions for process improvement
  • Process Accounts Closings; process policy transactions for direct retention
  • Document and execute processes with minimal supervision
  • Determine appropriate issues to escalate to management
  • Continuously build skills and knowledge by receiving coaching and feedback and participating in ongoing training
  • Function effectively and collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 2 year degree or 2 years insurance, accounting or customer service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Voluntary benefits experience preferred
  • Advanced level of understanding of Benefit Administration’s business area processes preferred
  • Detailed understanding of multiple systems to access data
  • Demonstrate innovation and process improvement skill set
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
