Job Description:


Supplier Security Risk Management – OSSA – Consultant I


The Information Security Consultant I will be a key resource in identifying and securing the enterprise’s information assets through assessing risk associated with suppliers doing business with Allstate Insurance. This role will provide transparency on information security risk and enable the business to make informed, risk-based decisions that improve the security posture. This resource will be expected to participate in extensive client interactions relating to technical, procedural, and documentation controls with a wide range of technology-based and business functions and will be able to drive problem resolution and implement effective mechanisms to track and report on security risks.

Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for being a contributor in supplier management risk reviews.
• Be versed in supplier enterprise security due diligence and assessment.
• Facilitate regular onsite security assessments of suppliers to assess information security risk.
• Identify and recommend appropriate measures to manage and mitigate supplier risks and reduce potential impacts on information resources to an acceptable level.
• Work with suppliers to remediate the risks identified during the information security assessments.
• Understand how to risk-rank suppliers, perform risk assessments, and communicate results to the business.
• Document and communicate risk assessments and results in a manner that allows all readers across the enterprise to understand the risk.
• Partner with all areas of the business, including Privacy, Legal, Procurement, IT, and business partners.



Job Qualifications:


• College degree and 3 years of work experience
• 1 year of experience in a Risk/Audit/Control function. Prior Third-party risk/Supplier risk experience preferred
• Effective written, verbal communication skills. Ability to tailor communication style to audience at hand
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage initiatives and projects; self-starter
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines, supplier management, Sourcing and Procurement, Financial Services, completing assessments of suppliers.
