Job Description

The Digital Marketing team drives the strategy and execution of multi-million-dollar digital marketing programs to deliver profitable growth for the enterprise. Programs include paid search, affiliate marketing, lead aggregators and directory marketing. The team is also responsible for garnering insights via test & learn.  


Test & Learn is a capability within the Digital Marketing team of MARA, and is responsible for incubating test ideas and driving key learnings primarily in the realm of marketing (may include cross-functional) to enable profitable growth for the enterprise. The team is designed to operate ‘lean’ and leverage a pool of analytical, media and marketing resources to design and execute tests, capture/disseminate learnings and more importantly, implement or influence implementation of such learnings at scale for significantly improved business outcome.


Job Summary


The Associate Manager, Test & Learn will manage the Test & Learn capability and a multi-million-dollar Test & Learn budget to execute strategic tests across media channels such as TV, display, paid search, social, etc. and data & analytic capabilities such as predictive modelling, addressability, targeting, etc.

Key Responsibilities

In partnership with various marketing teams, build out a Test & Learn agenda that directly supports marketing’s strategic priorities. Gain alignment on key test questions and articulate why such learnings are critical to our growth & profitability aspirations.

• Ensure test designs are mathematically sound, and partner with analytic teams to incorporate sophisticated experimental design concepts to all executions.

• Apply project management principles to effectively and efficiently manage several Test & Learn projects at a given time. Influence decision-making at all levels and hold various teams accountable to assigned responsibilities, and drive operational excellence from test ideation to implementation of learnings.

• Manage a multi-million-dollar budget, ensuring a methodical approach/framework is applied to allocate appropriate investments to initiatives likely to deliver measurable business value

• Communicate key test findings and recommendation to various audience groups (technical & non-technical) in a clear and concise manner. In partnership with program owners, create a comprehensive action plan based on such findings and directly influence implementation of such plans across programs.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field such as Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, or any other related field

• A minimum of 5 years of previous work experience in analytics and/or testing & optimization

• Passion for and deep expertise in statistical and advanced modeling techniques

• Expert in communicating complex mathematical concepts and proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels of audience

• Previous experience working in marketing or media analytics/testing or optimization is preferred
