Job Description

The Sales Support Lead Consultant provides support to Field Sales Leaders in such areas as sales processes, tools, training and key measurement and reporting.  The role develops, implements, and assures maintenance of necessary tools for Field Sales Leaders in support of business planning, agency management and territorial management.  The Lead Consultant ensures appropriate measurement of agent productivity.  Additionally, the role is accountable for packaging and delivering training to Field Sales. 

Key Responsibilities

Tool Development

  • Evaluates needs, develops options, recommends necessary support, and implements tools for Field Sales to aid in business planning, agency management, and territorial management
  • Prepare standardized Field Sales tool kit and utilize technology to make available to all Field Sales 
  • Communicate the value and availability of the Sales tool kit

 

Training and Education

  • Prepares a standardized Field Sales Tool Kit to be used when educating agents on Commercial lines and prospecting and selling. The kit includes business planning, market direction, win ratios by market/ territories, prospecting and selling best practices, scripts competitive talk tracks and cross selling tactics.

 

Measurement and Reporting

  • Utilizes technology to assist Field Sales in measuring agent production and progress
  • Create tools that track the agency appointment process and procedures
  • Provide promotion updates and measurements
  • Support segmentation and Field Sales resource needs including but not limited to locations spans of control and market data

 

Leadership

  • Serve as a resource for Field Sales Leaders and Field Sales Managers when agents make inquires about the data
  • Ensure that website reports are updated regularly, are user friendly and meet the needs of the Field Sales Leaders
  • Provide input to Marketing on Sales needs for support materials and lead change by promoting the use of successful Sales Processes 

Job Qualifications

  • 5-7 years combined P&C experience and operations management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Analytical and Technical Skills
  • Understands sales trend analysis, marketing data and financial analysis
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient, Allstate technology experience a plus
  • P&C, commercial preferred, product knowledge
  • Possesses familiarity with industry including competitors and trends
  • Possesses first level sales knowledge, sales processes, back office support knowledge, and trend identification
  • Requires knowledge of agent contracts, compliance requirements, Agency Standards, and Allstate policies and procedures
  • Displays ability to assess market conditions, trends and indicators
  • Experienced implementation tactics for new initiatives
  • Industry certifications preferred
