Job Description

The Encompass Project Management team is responsible for developing and implementing Encompass projects, processes and programs related to Independent Agent compensation, technology, policies/ procedures and/ or compliance.  It is the Project Management team’s responsibility to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets or exceeds quality expectations.

The Project Management Consultant will work with Encompass to coordinate the delivery of technology projects that are of low to medium complexity using technical, organizational and communication skills to complete assignments that support business goals. This role will work independently and manage projects as needed. 

Key Responsibilities
Project Management

  • Plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes on projects that are up to moderate complexity and are small to moderately scaled using accepted project management standards
  • Assists in the formulation of strategies to achieve plan objectives
  • Tracks plan performance
  • Communicates and presents project information
  • Ensures project controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Assists in determining where additional resources/ expertise may be necessary to successfully complete projects/ assignments
  • Provides feedback on project team member(s)
  • Secures approvals and monitors program, policy, and procedure progress
  • Actively builds strong relationships among teams and team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
  • Evaluates current results, identifies variances to planned performance, analyzes causes of variance and recommends action through tracking expense plan performance
  • Actively manages all project related expenses
  • Analyzes statistical data as it relates to basic programs, projects and processes of moderate complexity; provides action alternatives for improvement as appropriate

Job Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with managing projects.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Results-focused
  • Able to work in an agile, iterative environment developing creative solutions & insightful analysis.
  • Highly curious with interest and proficiency in making sense of large and disparate data sets.
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills applied to business problems.
  • Capable of handling complex problems independently on a daily basis. 
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Ability to synthesize technical and business concepts & communicate in a clear & structured manner.
