Job Description

 

Allstate has an exceptional career opportunity for a Represented Casualty Adjuster in Metairie, LA!

 

What you will do:

  • Investigate and settle injury claims where a party involved is represented by an attorney.   

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate claims:  take recorded statements, obtain photos and/or conduct on scene investigations, review medical reports, document claim files and prepare investigation summaries
  • Determine liability, determine damages and negotiate a claim settlement in accordance with business unit best practices
  • Claim may involve litigation, arbitration or mediation requiring coordination with legal counsel
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, trial or arbitration
  • Deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair and easy
  • Research and respond to customer communications
  • You will provide guidance and direction to less experienced employees and provide mentoring and coaching to the team

Job Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience investigating, evaluating and negotiating bodily injury/casualty claims strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for helping others
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Persistence and the ability to work through and solve problems
  • Has and maintains all appropriate licenses and registrations for the role per state requirements
  • Ability to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle complex claims
  • Provides broad individual decision making within authority limits
