Job Description

The PMO Operations team is responsible for developing and implementing Encompass projects, processes and programs related to Independent Agent compensation, technology, policies/ procedures and/ or compliance. The Encompass Operations Senior Manager will be responsible for strategic development and Go to Market execution plans for Encompass wide processes, programs and projects that benefit Independent Agents and drive profitable growth for the company. The Senior Manager will lead the following processes and teams: Encompass Program Management Office, Encompass Compliance, Encompass Billing and Encompass Governance.

 

Job Summary

The Sr Manager will develop strategies and coach others to achieve business goals and corporate goals, drawing upon functional expertise and knowledge of Encompass and the insurance business. 

Key Responsibilities

Manage Human Resources

  • Leads large scale programs, processes, projects and/or multiple facets of  human capital management resources to support company initiatives
  • Assesses and anticipates resource needs including skills and education requirements (when leading project teams and/or managing direct reports)
  • Directs and is responsible for work that needs to be performed by a team(s) and/or their direct reports
  • Participates in interviewing and candidate selection (as needed by the department)
  • Responsible for meeting all Performance Management practices for a team
  • Adheres to company’s management practices and processes
  • Supports and executes performance management and development plans for all direct reports
  • Participates in and provides input for succession planning
  • Actively involved in talent development for a department
  • Implements the Company's Affirmative Action goals for the selection, education, development and promotion of minority group members and women

Consulting/Leading

  • Top level expert in one or more highly specialized areas of Encompass business development programs and processes
  • Provides business/technical consultation and solutions on highly complex projects 
  • Provides strategic guidance and direction on business development programs, processes, and initiatives  
  • Leads and directs the strategic planning and design of Encompass operations, programs, and processes to support changing business tactics

  • Knowledge of sales, product, operations and insurance regulation knowledge, with working knowledge of lines of insurance, and product offerings
  • Represents Encompass on panels, in outside venues or forums

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word skills.
  • Results-focused.
  • Self-starter, exceptional communication skills, process design experience, continuous improvement focus/ experience.

  • Able to work in an agile, iterative environment developing creative solutions & insightful analysis.
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills applied to business problems.
  • Capable of handling complex problems independently on a daily basis. 
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Responsible for compliance with current industry standards/environment that impact decisions and indicates requirements
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and can consult on complex issues within their discipline(s) from both an internal and external perspective
