Job Summary

As a Microsoft Office Engineer - Consultant you will support the design, packaging, testing, lifecycle, implementation and support of the MS Office Suite of products. Individuals applying for this position must be customer service oriented, understanding that they are a part of providing superior customer service. This is not an entry level position, as the ideal candidate must be able to "hit the ground running".

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participation in development of MS Office configuration standards
  • Support of MS Office 2013/2016 for 40,000+ users
  • Support of Office 365, including long-term tenant management
  • Application package testing and documentation
  • 1st  and 2nd level end user support

Job Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to understand and participate in detailed design planning, development, configuration and deployment of the MS Office Suite of products
  • Ability to create technical and support documentation
  • Capable of reasoning and thinking through problems and able to independently as well as jointly develop desired solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, to meet deadlines, and to complete time-sensitive projects as assigned.
  • Familiarity with the full Software Development Life Cycle including design, testing, deployment, and documentation.  


  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products such as Office online applications, Office 2013, 2016, One-Note, Infopath and Visio
  • Experience with SCCM 2007 and 2012, including inventory/asset management a plus
  • Familiarity with GPO design / implementation
  • Experience with virtual desktop technology is preferred

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus four years experience; or, equivalent combination of education and experience
