Allstate’s Enterprise Shared Services Team is looking for a product manager who is responsible for driving and defining the implementation and support of new and existing products and services within chat, automation, and Artificial Intelligence. The candidate must be a strong technical leader that will drive strategy, innovation, execution, and delivery of product within an agile environment.

 

Job Description

Product Owner Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist stakeholders in definition of product vision, prioritization of feature deliverables, and product backlog refinement.
• Owns the technical strategy and architecture of the products.
• Champion the creation and growth of the platform with internal Allstate stakeholders.
• Drive discussions and decision-making on both business and highly technical issues engaging with internal and external partners. Mediate decisions that have technology and business implications.
• Champion research and analysis of industry and market data (customers/competition/technology) that will impact future product growth and adoption.
• Provide clear product and project prioritization based on business, technical and financial issues.
• Establish metrics and process improvement governance.
• Work with Development, Operations, and product owners to ensure development and timely delivery of product roadmap initiatives.
• Becomes the internal product expert.
• Consolidate data into user stories and necessary product requirements
• Establish initiatives and align with cross-functional goals

 

Job Qualifications

Product Owner Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, computer science, or related field.
• Two years previous experience as a product owner, business analyst, or in a related field.
• Solid understanding of the product lifecycle.
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices.
• Comfortable working with multiple teams, in-house and remote.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, UI/UX team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with vendors, vended solutions, and SAAS products.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure services preferred but not required.
• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD automation pipelines preferred but not required.
