Supports the growth and success of the Encompass distribution channel and its new agency owners and/or existing independent agents.  This is achieved through effective consultations, acquisition and retention process adoption, business planning and deployment/staffing strategies.

 

This individual is responsible for strategic and tactical planning to optimize the Encompass deployment footprint. This individual partners with the Encompass Sales Regional Directors (RDs) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Product Directors to gain an understanding of the status of the agencies within Encompass and make strategic deployment decisions. This individual strategically deploys new agencies, which include existing independent agencies, Key (National) Accounts, start-ups, satellites, and mergers in order to achieve Encompass appointment targets.  A function of this role is to provide up to date deployment analysis in order to present an optimized footprint strategy to field sales leadership including the Sales Vice President and Encompass President.  This individual should be experienced in the recruitment, identification and selection of high caliber new agencies in order to support the education and skill development of field sales leaders and recruiters.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategy design to optimize the deployment footprint
  • Strategy: Establish a recruiting strategy for Encompass based on deployment decisions and goals
  • Track agency performance against business plan for (e.g., implementation of merger plans)

Footprint Strategy

  • Define a process for and conduct regular deployment analysis.
  • Integrate with cross functional team within Encompass to obtain in-depth knowledge of deployment opportunities including how many, what type, where, and when
  • Recommend deployment goals based on the deployment analysis and advise Encompass President, Sales Vice President, and Encompass Sales Leaders.

Recruiting Strategy

  • Strategic and tactical planning to optimize the deployment footprint
  • Recommend agency growth incentive programs
  • Partners with Encompass Sales Leadership to create agency candidate pipeline

Recruiting Execution

  • Assists Field Sales Leaders to develop potential agency candidates into agency owners and develop existing IAs in to successful Encompass agencies
  • Coach, develop, and share best practices with Field Sales Leaders of new agencies to support the agency in the completion of business planning for successful establishment
  • Manage the candidate pipeline tracking process to maintain a high-performance recruiting environment and provide feedback to home office and field Sales leaders.
  • Identify, develop and communicate sourcing best practices to Field Sales Leaders to drive success in sourcing qualified, high caliber agency candidates

Job Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge

  • Recommended minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Field Sales Leadership, Product Management position
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Proven track record for successfully developing highly qualified prospects
  • Analytical and Technical Skills
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and quantify multiple critical variables synthesized with field input in order to make deployment optimization recommendations
  • Recruiting skills - Knowledge of candidate prospecting techniques, candidate development, deployment models, process installation, and education techniques
  • Industry & Company Expertise - In-depth knowledge of the Encompass and Independent Agency business model, products and processes (including pricing, claims, market planning etc.)
  • IT Skills – Ability to understand and analyze data in order to make fact-based decisions.

  • Communication skills - Includes presentation, business writing, negotiation, motivation and relationship management
  • Relationship Management skills - Blends people into teams when needed; creates strong morale and spirit, defines success in terms of the whole team; creates a feeling of belonging in the team
  • Organizational and process management skills - Can engage resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently
