Job Description

The Enterprise Security Systems Manager, Physical Security is responsible for the management and administration of physical security systems, equipment and personnel across the Allstate enterprise, to include, but not limited to access control, CCTV/video recording systems, alarm and intelligence monitoring, Global Security Command Centers, Data Centers and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate service repairs, preventive maintenance, inventory and replacement schedules for security systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of written standards and guidelines for security systems and equipment to ensure operability, reliability, and consistent application of security standards is maintained.
  • Perform security bid specifications, including bid review, cost analysis, and providing guidance for approved proposals and installation.
  • Utilize system database reporting tools to create, modify and maintain customized security reports that meet company, client and regulatory reporting requirements and audits.
  • Ensure quality assurance database reviews, analysis and reporting are completed by the security systems team according to the defined schedules.
  • Manage system programming for system installation  projects, including hardware and software upgrades, as well as change management of systems
  • Manage access level definition updates for access control systems for restricted access areas in coordination with space owners.
  • Develop strategy, consult and make technical support decisions for security systems.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of security system process and operations documentation.
  • Manage training for designated security access control administrators and security personnel on security system and equipment operation, testing, data entry guidelines and processes.
  • Manage the security systems vendors.
  • Support and participate in Physical Security/Cyber Security public-private partnership relationships.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing Physical Security policies.
  • Support business continuity and safety initiatives external to the Home Office.
  • Manage the security systems program budget.
  • Manage security audits and survey schedules.
  • Responsible for developing and presenting intelligence briefings relating to Physical Security security system threats and vulnerabilities to appropriate leadership within the company.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of corporate security and/or related law enforcement experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated computer aptitude of Windows, MS Office, social media and internet
  • Demonstrated leadership during systems outages and incidents
  • Ability to coordinate, manage and direct cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security technology, incident reporting systems and integrated security systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, present to management teams and publicly speak to large groups
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, cyber security or related field is preferred
