Job Description

As an enterprise we leverage Information Security Policies that support our strategic approach to information security and the protection of the Allstate brand, its reputation, customers, information and assets. The Allstate Information Security - Assurance, Policy, Monitoring and Reporting (AIS-APM&R) team is an integral part of this mission.


You will acquire broad experience in practicing and learning critical business, as well as information security and assurance fundamentals. Successful applicants will apply academic training and knowledge acquired to actual work responsibilities as determined by AIS-APM&R team and associated tasks.


Some of the experience expected to be gained in this role includes:


  • A basic level understanding of business/technology risk leveraging NIST cybersecurity framework and lifecycle (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover).
  • Knowledge in monitoring and review of  technology controls that mitigate those risks at an introductory level leveraging ISO/IEC 27000 series Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycles.
  • Mentored and encouraged to keep up-to date with the latest technologies and potential cyber-threats.
  • Expect to grow as part of our trusted advisor team to help clearly articulate Allstate security policies, standards, and guidelines to both technical and business audiences alike.


You will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned Security Governance professionals in providing security guidance to customers within our organization to include:


  • Compliance Assessment & Classification support (Enterprise Standards and Policy).
  • Compliance program support (PCI, HIPAA, SOX, SEC / GLBA),
  • General consulting (security policy, enterprise standards, supporting documents).


Job Qualifications



  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree focused in information assurance, mathematics, or other related field
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and the ability to listen well and work with others.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning.
  • Attention to detail
  • Expected start date May/June 2018
