Job Description

Operational Expense Support  

  • Assist with the management of the current year plan and the creation of future year’s operating expense plan, incorporating all guidance from Finance
  • Develop and maintain a partnership with Business Unit expense coordinators, within Product Operations,  to complete plan models, manage expenses throughout the year, and provide guidance and report generation as needed
  • Create monthly expense and staffing reports; review information for emerging trends and proactively keep the Expense Manager and coordinators, when applicable, informed of impending gaps, trends, and make recommendations for improvement 
  • Partner with Protection Finance and Accounting in achievement of common goals in support of expense line items across Product Operations (yearend forecast estimates, accruals, accounting adjustments, coding, invoice processing, identifing/resolving miscoded expenses, etc.) and to ensure the accuracy of expense processing
  • Identify appropriate/creative ways to reduce general operating expenses
  • Manage procurement governance process, as needed
  • Manage processes, models and data efficiently; implement enhancements as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience with financial planning/expense management experience preferred
  • Basic project management skills
  • Intermediate expense management
  • Intermediate written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate business acumen and basic ability to influence
  • Intermediate organizational skills and advanced time management skills
  • Intermediate problem solving skills
  • SAP and Business Warehouse skills
  • Travel & Expense and Accounts Payable processing skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels, including officers
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (PowerPoint, excel, word)
