The Sales Administrative Leader (SAL) leads process implementation, when requested by agencies, for a region. 

 

The SAL is accountable for:

  • Speeding up the developmental of new leaders
  • Enabling  sales leader effectiveness
  • Helping leaders balance work between consulting, deployment and running the market

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Leading, Coaching and Development of APAs, APSs and FSAs (~40%)

  • Work with TSLs in assigning agency engagement.  Makes strategic decisions on APS resource allocation, based on urgency and size of need, and expected return on investment
  • Manage APA and APS resources and coordinates locations and activities to ensure the effective and efficient deployment of process implementation resources to agencies as requested
  • Lead APAs and APS in development of processes to be installed
  • Coach and mentor APAs, APSs and FSAs in support of career progression, provides feedback on knowledge, skill, and leadership development opportunities, and suggests ongoing education opportunities
  • Complete PDS performance evaluations for direct reports, and ensures that annual development plans are documented and executed
  • Hold quarterly developmental workshops
  • Identifies and hires APA and APS candidates


Cultivation and Sharing of Regional Process Expertise (~20%)

  • Lead projects related to sales leader effectiveness tools and process integration
  • Researches and develops “best practices” pertinent to agency business and agency staff management (LSPs), in alignment with Company and regional priorities
  • Educates Field Leaders and APS resources on current ‘best practices’ for process implementation
  • Develops methodologies to measure and track of process implementation at agencies

 

Coaching and Development of New Leaders (~30%)

  • Work with TSLs to identify opportunity areas for new FSLs with less than 3 years’ experience. Coach and mentor new FSLs in support of career progression, provides feedback on knowledge, skill, and leadership development opportunities, and suggests ongoing education opportunities
  • Plan field travel with new FSLs in assigned geographic areas once a month

 

Supports Regional Initiatives (~10%)

  • Leads initiatives for integration of regional and territorial sales strategies
  • Sits on the Market Operating Committee

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience in sales
  • Field sales leadership and P&C / Financial Services sales
  • 4 year college degree
  • Advanced knowledge of agency business processes, operations, and sales
  • Ability to monitor, analyze, and communicate agency performance results
  • Required licenses:  Property & Casualty, Life/Health and Series 6, 63 and 26
