Job Description

Agent Commission- Accounting Specialist Associate position available at Allstate in our Irving, Texas location.  Tentative Start Date: 12/11/17.  Work Schedule: Mon. - Fri.  8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Required Skills:

The purpose of this department is analysis and reporting related to agent commission disbursements.  The individual will be responsible for:

  • Balancing and error correction for various daily, weekly and/or monthly interfaces.
  • Analyzing issues related to processes
  • Preparing account reconciliations related to processes
  • Posting journal vouchers
  • Processing payments or deposits
  • Maintains and documents information
  • Completing Sox controls
  • Inputting data and maintaining databases
  • Communicating with various areas regarding the information processed

Job Qualifications

Experience required:

  • An Associate or Bachelor degree a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of SAP (ISCD and FICO) preferred
  • The skills required are:
  • Good oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and organize own time to meet deadlines
  • Ability to research disbursement/accounting transactions while using good analytical skillsGood teamwork skills
  • Ability to input and maintain excel documents and support the program
  • Excel skills to successfully analyze and prepare account reconciliations
