We’re looking for a communication professional who can take projects and run with them, has a knack for distilling complex info into understandable and engaging messaging, can strike the right balance between strategic and creative thinking, and is comfortable working with leaders at all levels.   • Provide world-class communications counsel to advance issues and initiatives important to our stakeholders.

We do this by providing our expertise in executive positioning, internal communications, media relations, reputation management, issues and crisis management, thought leadership and advocacy, strategic business counsel, employee engagement and culture, corporate social responsibility and financial communications. 


The Part You Play:

A Corporate Relations Communication Senior Consultant completes project work, develops internal communication strategies and implements plans for the corporation and the region, as assigned. The outcomes of the work are focused on improving the reputation of Allstate across the five-state Southern region by building relationships, reinforcing key messages and producing a favorable business environment with key shareholders – including Allstate agency owners and employees.  



  • With minimal direction, creates communication plans that are aligned with regional priorities and corporate business objectives.
  • Develops strategic communications to help drive engagement, line of sight and culture change among key stakeholders. 
  • Serves as a liaison between client and department; maintain balance between client and company interests
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Develops work plans to organize projects into tasks, sequences activities to achieve maximum efficiency, estimates and manages time to complete tasks
  • Implements and measures communications plans to ensure integration and message consistency
  • Proactively identifies issues that may have an impact on overall business performance.
  • Generates innovative solutions to address issues, presents solutions clearly, enhances existing ideas to maximize opportunities
  • Meeting planning, agenda setting and facilitating aspects of events ranging from employee meetings to sales kick offs with attention to detail and working with multiple department managers and senior staff. 

Job Qualifications


  • 3-5 years in a communications role
  • Insurance and financial services business acumen preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field


The individual must have solid written and oral communication skills in addition to the following:

  • Be a highly organized self-starter who is driven to achieve outstanding results
  • Have a proven track record of building engaging internal communication strategies
  • Think strategically and be able to translate business objectives into integrated communication strategies and tactics that will drive business performance
  • Possess strong business knowledge and a general understanding of insurance and financial services
  • Be a demonstrated team player in a cross-functional setting
  • Be able to work with multiple levels of the organization, provide counsel and direction and find a balance between the individual’s interest and the company’s interest
  • Have proven ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be creative and flexible while continuing to produce work at a quick pace
  • Have an innate ability to multitask and change from one project to another quickly while seeing everything through to completion
  • Have experience using digital media strategies and tactics to advance business goals
  • When needed:
    • Serve as a company spokesperson and work with media to pitch reputation enhancing stories Partner with the company leaders and regional counsel to manage and build messaging for potentially adverse public issues
    • Assist in developing and maintaining crisis communication plans.
    • Assist with developing community involvement strategies related to corporate contributions and volunteerism.
    • Serve as a primary lead managing strategic giving and community partnership

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field preferred, but not required. In Corporate Relations, our backgrounds range from journalism to business, from strategic philanthropy to academia, and from research to education. We are a team of both lifelong communicators, and those who developed their communication skills on the job.
