Job Description

Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for a Bill Adjudication Adjuster with a RHIT certification in Farmington Hills, MI.

Customers need us the most when they are involved in an accident.  As an Allstate Bill Adjudication Adjuster you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise to help restore people’s lives after they’ve had a loss.  You will be responsible for analyzing incoming medical bills, associated records, and bill adjudication. You will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and solve problems in a fast-paced working environment.  Your success will be rewarded with our Total Rewards package which includes base pay, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. 

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional and courteous customer service
  • Accurately documenting estimates on Allstate’s state-of-the-art, computerized NextGen claims system
  • Providing clear, written correspondence as necessary
  • Working well with others in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Achieving targeted performance goals to support Allstate’s industry-leading operational standards 

 

Working environment:

You will also be required to work a flexible schedule, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some late duty and possible rotating weekend and holiday shifts as necessary.

 

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • RHIT Certification required
  • Two or more years of medical claims experience preferred
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal or external customers and act with empathy
  • Apply knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation
  • Beginning to apply knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement, and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards
  • Beginning to apply ability to leverage learned technical skills in support of team objectives
  • Beginning to apply negotiation and/or arbitration skills
  • Beginning to apply conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships
  • Ability to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle basic and occasionally moderately complex claims
  • Provides individual decision making within authority limits
  • Has and maintains all appropriate licenses and registrations for the role per state requirements
  • Miltary personnel suggested to apply
