Job Description

 

An Agency Communication Sr Consultant I is primarily accountable for developing and executing the agency owner and licensed sales producer communication strategy for the enterprise. This work includes but is not limited to communication counsel, planning and execution, Agency Sales business partner services, agency owner relationships, and sales conference content delivery to improve agency owner engagement. A primary role includes developing quality, error-free, strategically targeted communications to benefit agency owners.

 

 

Project Management

  • Consistently plans, implements, manages, and/ or sponsors projects that are moderate to high complexity
  • Considers short-term and long-term deliverables cross functionally
  • Delivers on strategies to achieve plan objectives
  • Establishes and tracks plan performance
  • Develops cost/ benefit analysis
  • Communicates and presents project information to project team as well as providing presentation/ updates to senior level management
  • Determines resources/expertise that are necessary to successfully complete projects/ assignments from various AORs
  • Analyzes statistical data as it relates to programs, projects and processes of moderate-high complexity; provides action alternatives for improvement as appropriate
  • Actively manages project-related expenses 

     

Process and Product Design/Improvement

  • Participates in the development/design of new plans, programs or processes that are of moderate-high complexity
  • Creates concept designs and addresses feasibility (financial, operational, technical). Develops requirements and measurements
  • Develops communication strategies and materials to support new plans, programs & processes
  • Proactively evaluates procedures and processes regularly and determines/recommends alternatives or improvements
  • Ensures processes are followed and applied consistently throughout team/department
  • Evaluates and implements process improvements to internal and external compliance requirements/standards

     

Program Management Support

  • Contributes to market share growth and profitability by supporting new/ complex changes to sales programs and providing expertise in their respective discipline (s)
  • Plans and coordinates the integration and delivery of planned changes/projects/ programs to regions/field
  • Makes recommendations to solve market specific implications of business strategies
  • Practices proper execution of regulatory/legislative practices for Sales

     

Program & Process Communications

  • Delivers presentations to recommend change, explain a process/obtain approvals, etc.
  • Answers inquiries requiring interpretation of sales policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Involvement in the process that updates brochures, booklets, manuals, instructions, and/or bulletins
  • Participates in strategic and tactical planning of the unit/department and COE.
  • Identifies, reviews, clarifies need for new or modified program, policy, procedure
  • Conducts cost/benefit analysis
  • Defines objectives and develops/evaluates alternative proposals for meeting objectives
  • Obtains approval on recommended program, policy, and procedure

Job Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience required in Corporate Communications or Journalism
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree preferreed in Communication, English, or Journalism
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and project management skills required
