Job Family Summary
The purpose of the Encompass Marketing Planning & Execution team is to lead the marketing strategy, planning and development of consumer, customer and Encompass Independent Agency level communications programs that build Encompass brand consideration, choice and loyalty, drive brand consistency, and broaden the brand footprint across all media and communication vehicles, and to ensure programs are delivered with operational excellence.  The team is also responsible for developing and maintaining Encompass brand standards and guidelines. The Planning & Execution team collaborates with various Encompass business and marketing internal and external partners to ensure programs and communications are strategically aligned with business goals and strategies. 
 

Job Summary

The team supports planning and creative development of B2B and B2C marketing communications programs and leads/manages day-to-day execution of marketing communications tactics that support national, local, independent Agency level and customer one-to-one marketing strategies designed to drive profitable growth and retention for the Encompass brand. 

The Sr. Consultant is accountable for leading all phases of a program/project plan. This position consults with others in marketing or business areas to gain input to develop, execute and measure the marketing plan. The Sr. Consultant must possess a variety of competencies including strong attention-to-detail, advanced communication skills, strong copy editing and ability to judge creative and provide constructive feedback to both internal and external partners. The Sr. Consultant is expected to demonstrate meticulous follow-through and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Manage the planning, creative development and implementation of integrated marketing communications to support various programs and strategies, offering solutions and recommendations to manager and other contributing team members
  • Contribute to integration across teams and other departments, building relationships with internal and external business partners and resources

Program execution

  • Manage print, collateral (brochures, one-pagers) and direct mail program development and execution. 
  • Manage required day-to-day tasks, including status report and timeline management, meeting coordination, legal and key stakeholder approvals, and maintaining centralized files for reference and compliance
  • Develop presentations, program overviews, recaps, and other materials for internal meetings; present work internally to marketing leadership and other business partners
  • Initiate ideas and actions on cross-functional teams and influence others
  • Work with solid level of independence on new or unfamiliar projects of critical importance
  • Exhibit deep subject matter expertise of marketing communication

Administration/Measurement

  • Manage program budgets and provide monthly and quarterly budget forecasts to manager and internal finance team
  • Measure and report on program results to Manager

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Marketing experience, preferably including Advertising/Marketing Agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred: Marketing, Journalism or Communications concentration preferred
  • Strong ability to write, copy edit and judge creative
  • Graphic design knowledge a plus (Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Adobe, Flash)
  • Intermediate organization and project/program/time management skills
  • Intermediate presentation development and delivery skills
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft suite; advanced PowerPoint skills a plus
  • Intermediate relationship, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Beginner solutions skills; flexible in times of change
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate measurement, data analysis skills
  • Strong general management, analytical, planning, organization and facilitations skills with superior attention to detail
  • Capable of independent program management; develops solutions with minimal guidance
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to effectively deal with ambiguity, change and adapt appropriately to a range of situations
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
