Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for an Inside Property Adjuster located in Tigard, Oregon.  Here you will find a jean casual work environment with flexibility for work/life balance. Generous benefits and paid time off start your first day. Salary range $38,000 - $68,600 commensurate with experience.

 

We are looking for individuals that are capable of working independently, prioritizing responsibilities, and managing workload under general supervision.
Primary office hours are Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM. Occasional Saturdays may be required, with a comp day provided.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met

File Documentation and Reporting

  • Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision making process
  • Handles first notice of loss of water damage claims

Coverage, Liability and Evaluation

  • Investigates, reviews, determines and verifies basic and occasionally moderately complex coverage/policy information
  • Provides coverage explanation to customer

Damage Estimating

  • Completes and reviews contents inventory, contents pricing, and mitigation bills
  • Handles additional living expense claims
  • Prepares damage estimates for moderately complex claims
  • Notifies insured of exposure over the policy limit
  • Adheres to applicable compliance standards

Other Projects and Responsibilities

  • May conduct subrogation investigations
  • May serve on a committee or project as appropriate
  • May participate in one or more basic or occasionally moderately complex special assignments

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred plus experience delivering outstanding customer service
  • Equivalent experience plus two years’ experience delivering outstanding customer service preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for helping others
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Persistence and the ability to work through and solve problem
