As an Allstate Personal Lines & Technology Business Office - Business Process Consultant, you will be a part of a team that is charged with resource and financial contributions across 7 APLT business units.  This team is responsible for developing the framework and process, establishing governance and facilitating a range of activities across APLT.  You will be responsible for the implementation of standard and optimized Human Capital plans that are updated on a regular basis.  You must ensure the compliance with Human Resource Planning and Management.  You will collaborate with High Priority Initiatives 9 and 11 (Flexible Capacity and Global Resource Strategy).  You must possess a unique blend of technical and business savvy in order to facilitate and coordinate resource requests from partner areas.  A Business Process Consultant’s key role is communicating and facilitating requests with Sr. Leadership across the Enterprise to achieve outcomes.  You will be accountable for leading development, testing, rolling out continuous improvement of necessary processes, documentation, tools and other support mechanisms to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of functions covered by this group.

As an Allstate Personal Lines & Technology Business Office - Business Process Consultant, you will be a part of a team that is charged with resource and financial contributions across 7 APLT business units.  This team is responsible for developing the framework and process, establishing governance and facilitating a range of activities across APLT.  The Process Analyst Sr Consultant II defines, implements, and monitors adherence to policies, processes, and standards for moderate complexity work; collects and documents process information; creates and analyzes reports; and incorporates industry leading practices into process improvement methodologies. You will be responsible for the implementation of standard and optimized Human Capital Planning that are updated on a regular basis.  You must ensure the compliance with Human Resource Planning and Management.  You will collaborate with High Priority Initiatives 9 and 11 (Flexible Capacity and Global Resource Strategy).  You must possess a unique blend of technical and business savvy in order to facilitation and coordinate resource requests from partner areas.  A Business Process Consultant’s key role is communicating and facilitating requests with Sr. Leadership across the Enterprise to achieve outcomes.  You will be accountable for leading development, testing, rolling out continuous improvement of necessary processes, documentation, tools and other support mechanisms to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of functions covered by this group.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and lead discussions with Application Managers and Sr. Leaders that are in charge of functions such as Human Capital Planning, Global Sourcing, compliance etc.
  • Engage with Application Owners and Delivery Managers to obtain alignment and ensure adherence to defined processes and standards.
  • Establish a governance process, communications and other necessary tools to provide visibility, maintain awareness and drive for higher levels of sophistication in day to day operations. 
  • Provide thought leadership and motivational support to unit team.
  • Designs and develops standard reports for analysis
  • Develops and conducts moderately complex process related training and communications
  • Implements policies, processes and standards
  • Gathers metrics and produce moderate to highly complex reports and executive summaries
  • Conducts data analysis
  • Identifies, records, recommends, and implements improvement opportunities based upon findings
  • Ability to lead across a wide variety of process and data analysis assignments with minimal supervision and leadership guidance
  • Engage with horizontal groups such as PMO, ATSV Finance, HR, ATSV International, Compliance as appropriate to maintain a clear view of the responsibilities of Application Managers and ensure the processes / tools developed (as mentioned above) are in accordance with policies and guidelines of those horizontal groups.
  • Provide a collective viewpoint and feedback to the horizontal groups based on the execution of the processes listed above.
  • Provides leadership and / or perform necessary administrative duties as required to manage the group

  • Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully facilitate meetings and processes where the subject is moderately complex. Contributes in a way to accelerate discussions to a reasonable conclusion. Prepares meaningful and reasonable agendas which focus on the primary purpose. Understands the time and topic limitations relating to successful meetings
  • Demonstrates the ability to anticipate, identify, reproduce, eliminate, and resolve problems in area of specialty in a professional and consultative manner. Able to decompose complex issues into meaningful and manageable parts.
  • Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate communications in practical applications of moderate difficulty, clearly identifying fundamental message and objectives.
  • Advanced ability to multi-task and exhibit effective time management and organization skills
  • Team oriented
  • Strong and proven ability to work effectively independently and within a team
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including a heavy use of Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Education: College Degree, BA or BS in Business or related area of study (quantitative coursework in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Communications, and/or Statistics)
  • Knowledge of P&C Insurance industry would be a plus.
