Job Summary

The mission of CompoZed XP labs is to create accelerated value for Allstate customers and partners by delivering custom software using best XP engineering practices, lean product thinking, and user-centered design. The Sr. Lab Manager is an agent of change who takes ownership of his/her lab while evolving the operating model.    




Job Description

  • Ensure that people in the lab are motivated, challenged, and provided with growth opportunities.
  • Foster an environment in which product teams are empowered to deliver business value quickly and iteratively.
  • Ensure that products are at the best state of readiness prior to kickoff, mitigating substantial risk for both business and delivery teams.
  • Measure and communicate lab KPIs.

Job Qualifications

  • Over ten years of experience in one of the three crafts: product management or product design or custom software development.
  • Prior PCF/AWS experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with TDD/BDD and CI/CD.

  • Lean approach to product management and continuous process improvement.
  • Experience driving iterative thinking and results.
  • Highly connected to and aware of the external tech community.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and facilitation skills.
